How to get to Cordova

Cordova is not connected by the State Highway System ( Thank Goodness) but it is easy to get to.

Once You Have Arrived in Anchorage

Choice #1: Fly from Anchorage
The quickest way and most used, is a flight out of Anchorage on Alaska Airlines or ERA Aviation, the Alaska Air jet takes about 35 min of flight time. The Era Aviation flight is a smaller plane, seats about 40 persons and takes about 55 min flight time.

Choice #2: Ferry from Whittier, Alaska
You may rent a car and drive to Whittier and take the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry to Cordova (About a 4 hour scenic trip with the new fast ferry).

Whittier is about an hour and a half drive from Anchorage.

Choice #3: Ferry from Valdez, Alaska
You may rent a car and drive to Valdez and take the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry to Cordova ( about a 2 and one half hour scenic trip with the fast ferry)

Valdez is about an 8 hour drive from Anchorage, but it is one of the most scenic drives in Alaska, though Thomson Pass (breathtaking).
